Within this framework our livestock scheme  of breeding and raising Cashmere goats - not only on our farm but on other privately-owned farms, on public lands, parks, riverbanks, abandoned and marginal farmlands and pastures, woodlands and forests,  defines our production as not only  TRACEABLE but specifically SUSTAINABLE.  

Our integrated scheme of controlled grazing of Cashmere Goats is closer to their ‘natural’ living conditions than any other farming system:    the goats live outdoors all-year round, where atmospheric and climatic conditions create the ideal environment for the production of fiber of commercially acceptable quality and quantity.     Free-ranging goats instinctively choose a wide range of different plants and foliage to meet their physiological needs, using to the fullest the organic and mineral material at their disposition, in a way no other animal who is confined to a barn or tied to a manger, can.       
The result is the longevity and well-being of our goats and the  superior quality of the end product: 

animal well-being at its simplest and most cost-effective 

Our goats convert unusable biomass into a luxury product without the use of fossil fuels, antibiotics, hormones or complicated feeds.  They are grazed on abandoned, marginal, un-utilizable land to clear, improve and maintain;  they are energy-efficient  'recyclers',  consuming NO non-renewable resources, increasing land-use, improving biodiversity, and maintaining viability:    the OPPOSITE of overgrazing, mechanized or chemical rural management , and industrial transformation.   No pollutants, no chemicals. 

CAN THERE ANY DOUBT THAT THIS IS THE CASHMERE YOU WANT?! 

 At every step,  our Cashmere production defines and goes beyond the very concept of Sustainable Agriculture

-   our goats recycle bio-masses unusable for other purposes, into soil amendments utilizable for every other type of agricultural production

-   the extensive, grazing scheme with which we raise our goats guarantees the utmost in animal welfare, health,  and longevity as no intensive farming can

-   the hand-combing of our Cashmere  is painless and innocuous – our goats are not maimed, wounded or killed to harvest their fiber and have an average life span that is easily double that of goats raised for milk or meat production

-    we bring the goats to their place of work, and not vice-versa:  there is no long-distance transport involved, and no middle men involved
