Only 3 km from Radda in Chianti, and midway between Florence and Siena, our 25-acre farm is nestled into the side of a hill at the end of its own 300 meter gated gravel road, and consists of the original 300 year old remodelled stone farmhouse available for year-round rental,  a nearby stone hay barn which houses a separate apartment as well as the  owner's home, and a new stone building at the far side of the property , location of our farm outlet.

Commanding an uninterrupted view of one of the most exceptionally beautiful valleys that the Chianti area has to offer, La Penisola overlooks the VOLPAIA VALLEY:  a seemingly perfect blend of gentle hills, geometric vineyards, and unkept woodland and pasture.  The house is surrounded by its own separate garden, boasts a spacious outdoor eating area, and direct access to the swimming pool.  Harmonious, centuries-old stone Tuscan farmhouses roofed with terra-cotta tiles together with strict building codes have assured that this particular valley has NO modern buildings to ruin the view.

At La Penisola, you will be woken gently by the swoosh of the doves' flight through the valley and the gentle gingle of the goats' bells at pasture.....watch the sun slide across the hillside and the shadows lengthen into dark as you sit under the grape arbor sipping a glass of chilled wine after a harried day as a tourist......Not a five-star hotel, but a “haven” to come home to – we have rented since 1988 and 75% of our guests are repeat or word-of-mouth.  Within an easy days' drive from just about everything worth visiting in Tuscany and nearby Umbria,  LA PENISOLA offers an oasis of utter silence, calm, simplicity and comfort.  Ours is your  'HOME AWAY FROM HOME'  to come back to again and again.
